Anshad Petrol JSC Announced Record Volume of Oil Produced

Muhammad Mustafayev, Director General of Anshad Petrol JSC, informed Trend that the daily production of the Company reaches 129,5 tons (945 barrels), that is on 4,5 tons (32,8 barrels) exceeds the indicator of the last year.

It was for the first time in 2006 over the last 12 years when the Joint-Stock Company produced 47,96 thousand tons (350,13 thousand barrels).

In order to increase the oil production, at the end of 2005, a special programme was elaborated. As a result of its implementation, Anshad Petrol drilled 6 new wells. Other two wells of the non-operating fund were drilled by a new borehole.

Seventeen wells were put back into operation with 12 out of them from the non-operating fund and 5 from the abandonment fund.

Other 4,12 thousand tons of oil (30,05 thousand barrels) were additionally produced as a result of 56 geological and 94 technical works carried out.

Anshad Petrol JV was established by SOCAR and Atilla Dogan Petrol of Turkey on the basis of former OGEU Neftechalaneft in 1993. In 1994-1996, Anshad Petrol was operated by Atilla Dogan Petrol, but since 1997, this duty had been undertaken by SOCAR. In 1995, Land and General Berhad joined the project through purchasing 17.15% of Atilla Dogan Petrol stock.
