Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend S.Aliyev / The specialists of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) stated that over the period of development of the oil and gas fields of Azerbaijan, 1,4 bln tons of oil (together with condensate) and 464 bln cu.m of gas have been produced.
Generally 65 fields have been opened in Azerbaijan and 57 out of them are still developed and 39 are onshore. 20 fields fall on to the share of Paterson oil and gas region.
The gross volume of the oil production in onshore fields equaled 940 mln tons and gas - 131 bln cu.m of gas. Using the reserves in these fields reaches 84%. The key volume of the oil and gas production fall on to the share of offshore fields. 17 offshore fields are developed by SOCAR independently.
The maximal volume of the annual oil production from the offshore fields was observed in 1970 - 13 mln tons and gas in 1982 - 14 bln cu.m.
