Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend U.Ismaylova / Azerigaz CSC has refuted rumors that gas prices will be increased in the near future in Azerbaijan.
The Chairman of the Azerigaz Executive Board, Alikhan Melikov, briefed the media on 2 March that the increase of gas prices may be realised if Azerigaz submits proposals to the Tariff Council of Azerbaijan and at present Azerigaz has no such plans," Melikov said.
In January 2007 the Tariff Council of Azerbaijan made a decision to increase the prices of energy resources, communal services, etc.
