Азербайджан, Баку /корр. Trend С / In the first half of 2007 two big gas fields will be commissioned on Southwest Gobustan field, Arawak Energy company announced .
These are Duvanny - 102 and Duvanny - 108 wells with the total debit of 285,700 cu m of gas a day (over 104mln cu m a year).
The Geology and Geophysics Department of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) won a tender on implementation of the two- and three-dimensional (2D and 3D) seismology exploration on the contract area of the field of South-West Gobustan by request of the Gobustan Operating Company. The Russian Trust of Tyumenneftgeofizika is subcontractor of the Gobustan Operating Company.
Three-dimensional seismology exploration work will be carried out on the area of 200 sq. meters of the Dashgil, Duvanny, and Kanizadagh fields (which enters the field of South-West Gobustan), and two-dimensional seismology exploration work will be carried out on the area of 480 sq. meters of the Central and North block.
Gobustan Operating Company (GOC) has developed Southwest Gobustan under the PSA agreed with SOCAR. The company began selling free gas in February 2006. In GOC 80% stock belongs to Commonwealth Gobustan Limited and 20% to SOCAR. In Commonwealth Gobustan Limited 37.17% belongs to Arawak Energy and 62.83% to China National Petroleum Company. .
