Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend S.Aliyev / The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) plans to ship a large oil tanker on behalf of Thailand's PTT Public Company Limited from the Ceyhan port on 7-10 May.

SOCAR and PTT Public signed on 28 February a one-year contract to deliver 1mln barrels of oil. Oil will be delivered at FOB or CFR from Ceyhan, where it is supplied via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan export pipeline.
PTT Public Company Limited is a large oil company in Thailand which is involved in the production of oil and gas, refinery, transportation as well as the import and export of oil products. PTT holds a share at 4 oil refinery plants in Thailand with a daily capacity of 925,000 barrels.
At the present time SOCAR is in talks regarding direct oil deliveries from the Ceyhan port, particularly to the United States and the Far East. SOCAR lifts oil from the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli fields within the framework of the Contract of the Century signed in 1994.
