Georgia, Tbilisi / corr Trend N.Kirtzkhali / The Georgian importers of oil products, companies Optimum and Sigma have set up import of the diesel fuel from Turkmenistan via the territory of Azerbaijan.
The Union of Importers, Exporters, Producers and Consumers of Georgia reported that the companies purchase 4,700 tons of diesel fuel a month, which comprises 25% of entire consumption at the local market.
The Union said that the price of the Turkmen gas is cheaper 2.8 cents than the Azerbaijan fuel.
Along with Turkmen diesel, the Georgian market import fuel from Azerbaijan and European countries. Diesel fuel and petrol is exported from Azerbaijan by SOCAR Georgia Petroleum, a part of the state oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR).
