Azerbaijani Government is to Change the Methods of Developing Fuel and Energy Balance
Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend I. Khalilova / The chairman of the State Statistics Committee, Arif Valiyev, reported on 26 April during a press conference that the Azerbaijani Government was going to change the methods of development of the fuel and energy balance.
"The balance will be developed in details and will meet the international standards, as the latest fuel and energy balance was developed in brief form," Valiyev said.
The current balance includes the figures on production of energy carriers, but the data on their utilization is not indicated.
"Due to lack of energy counters we had difficulties in calculating exact figures on utilization of electric energy and gas," the head of the Committee said.
A reduction coefficient is used for estimation of heat emission capacity during the development of the balance, which was applied on the basis of coal in the Soviet time.
"We have asked the Academy of Sciences to develop a new reduction coefficient. The application of a national coefficient is very important, as the heat emission of Baku and Russia's oil differ. The heat emission capacity of the Russian oil and gas is lower as compared to the Baku oil and gas," Valiyev said.
The new coefficient will be applied in assessing the heat emission capacity of firewood, coal and other fuel materials. The figures will be indicated in the balance.
The new coefficient will be applied during the development of 2007 fuel and energy balance.
