ВР Publicizes Azerbaijan’s Oil Income in 2007

Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend S.Aliyev / Phil Houme, BP Azerbaijan Vice President for Commerce, stated at a news conference on 29 May that in 2007, Azerbaijan's income from the implementation of the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli project is expected to comprise $3.5bln.

Houme stressed that in 2006 Azerbaijan's income from the project made up $3.2bln. Azerbaijan's revenue includes taxes, funds from sale of profit oil, bonus remittances and tariff payments. "Over the subsequent years Azerbaijan's incomes from the project will continue to rise," he added.

ACG participating interests are: BP (operator - 34.1%), Chevron (10.2%), SOCAR (10%), INPEX (10%), Statoil (8.6%), ExxonMobil (8%), TPAO (6.8%), Devon (5.6%), ITOCHU (3.9%), Hess (2.7%).

The total amount of capital expenses of the project is $20bln.
