Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr I. Khalilova / Daily supplies of Azerbaijani natural gas to Georgia make up 2.1mln cu m, Georgian Energy Minister, Nika Gilauri, reported on 5 June.
The Azerigaz closed joint-stock company supplies 1.3mln cu m of gas, while 0.8mln cu m of gas is exported from the Shah Daniz field.
In 2007, the total volume of gas supplies from Azerbaijan to Georgia is expected to amount to 700mln cu m.
According to the Georgian minister, some 300mln cu m of gas will be transported from the Shah Daniz field to Georgia in 2008. Talks with Azerigaz on possible volume of gas export by the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic are in progress.
The tariffs for gas supplies from Shah Daniz in 2008 will remain the same - $63 per 1,000 cu m.
Gilauri did not rule out the probability of a decrease in tariffs by Azerigaz. This year Azerigaz exports gas to Georgia at $120.
