Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend S.Aliyev / The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) will begin drilling new wells on the fields of 'Zeyvya-Zagly' in Syazan district of Azerbaijan, a source stated in SOCAR. The depth of the well is nearly 2,000 m. Generally three wells are intended to be drilled on the field by the end of the year.
Previously SOCAR completed drilling three wells on this field. The daily production of the wells totals nearly 20 tons. Presently the reserves are assessed on the field. According to the initial assessments, the reserves of the field total 3-3.5 mln tons of oil. SOCAR decided to activate the work on the field. In particular, it is intended to create conditions for the work through watch-standing method.
