Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend V.Sharifov / The Baku Oil Refining Plant named after Heydar Aliyev re-establish the production of the condensed gas (LPG) and currently produces 300-400 tons of this kind of fuel per day, a source stated in SOCAR on 26 July.

On 10 July the SOCAR had suspended the production of condensed gas and automobile benzene due to an unexpected repair of a catalytic cracking plant at the Baku Oil Refining Plant. The SOCAR states that the present plant also produces 1500-2000 tons of benzene.

"After the produced gas covers the demands of the Country, the remaining part of the gas will be exported to Georgia," the same source stated.

The SOCAR plans to re-establish benzene export to Iran in September. The unexpected repair of the catalytic cracking plant resulted in decreasing exported oil. In July the SOCAR increased oil exportation via Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline by almost two times (up to 164.000 tons).
