Korean International Cooperation Agency Ready to Finance Project on Rectification of Polluted Lands in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend / Azerbaijani Industry and Energy Ministry held meeting with a delegation from South Korea headed by the senior advisor of the Korean Agency for International Cooperation, Lim Te Hi, according to the Ministry.

From Azerbaijan the meeting was attended by the head of Investment Policy and Reconstruction of Industrial Objects Department of the Industry and Energy Ministry, Ramiz Rzayev, representatives of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) and the Azerbaijani Aerospace Agency.

The project on Rectification of Polluted Lands in Azerbaijani Absheron Peninsula was discussed at the meeting. Korean agency voiced its intentions to allot $2.5mln for beginning of implementation of the project.

The Korean Agency for International Cooperation established relations with over 50 countries during recent 20 years. The results of the negotiations regarding the project will be publicized on 9 August.
