By Rashid Shirinov – Trend:

In November 2018, inflation in Kazakhstan made up 4.6 percent compared to the beginning of the year, Kazakh media reported with reference to the Statistics Committee of Kazakh National Economy Ministry.

Compared to October 2018, inflation equaled 0.9 percent.

Last month, food prices rose by 1.1 percent, prices of non-food products – by 0.8 percent, while paid services for the population increased in price by 0.7 percent compared to October.

Meanwhile, since the beginning of the year, food prices have risen by 3.8 percent, prices of non-food products have increased by 5.9 percent, and paid services prices have risen by 4.2 percent.

Chairman of the National Bank of Kazakhstan Daniyar Akishev has recently noted the main factors that can affect the current level of inflation in Kazakhstan: the preservation of the inflationary background in the economy, and the situation in the countries that are trading partners of Kazakhstan.

"We are working with the government to prevent price increases. Active work is underway to identify those markets where prices are formed under the influence of subjective factors," Akishev said.
