The volume of deposits of individuals in Azerbaijan amounted to 8.14 billion manats at the end of October 2018, which is 11.8 percent more than at the beginning of the year, Trend reports citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
The majority of deposits – 63.5 percent, or 5.17 billion manats were placed in foreign currency.
The total volume of deposits of legal entities in the banks of Azerbaijan amounted to 13.86 billion manats, having increased by 6.33 percent since the beginning of the year.
The volume of deposits of financial institutions of Azerbaijan amounted to 1.59 billion manats at the end of October 2018, against 2.05 billion manats at the end of 2017. Deposits of non-financial organizations amounted to 12.27 billion manats against 10.36 billion manats.
In general, during the reporting period, the volume of deposits of legal entities and individuals in Azerbaijani banks amounted to 22 billion manats, which is 6.8 percent more than at the beginning of the year.
The deposits in national currency amounted to 7.35 billion manats (33.42 percent of all deposits), the deposits in foreign currency - to 14.65 billion manats (66.58 percent) at the beginning of November 2018.
