French IDEMIA will help open Uzbekistan’s first financial technologies laboratory, which will create and test new technologies together with an extensive ecosystem of partners and experts in this field, Trend reports referring to the International Press Club.
IDEMIA is a leader in the development of innovative technologies in personal identification for the needs of the physical and digital world. The company presented on-board and biometric solutions for the financial services industry of Uzbekistan.
The financial technologies (fintech) is an industry consisting of companies that use technology and innovation to compete with traditional financial organizations represented by banks and intermediaries in the financial services market. Numerous technological start-ups as well as large established organizations that try to improve and optimize the financial services they provide belong to fintech.
Another interesting initiative in this sphere is PAYMO.Uzbekistan, which is currently developing a specialized financial trading platform for the country. It will be a system that unites providers and consumers of financial services in one information space and provides participants with a range of services that increase the speed and efficiency of financial transactions.
In the future, this platform will enable banks to remotely identify customers, receive information for making decisions (including credit scoring), and minimize the costs of promoting their services.
