IFC puts new issue of Uzbek soum bonds on London Stock Exchange

Another issue of Samarkand Bonds of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) nominated in Uzbek soums has been placed on the London Stock Exchange, Trend reports on Dec. 13 referring to Uzbek media.

The total output amounted to 113 billion soums, the maturity period is two years, the coupon rate is 9.7 percent per annum.

The proceeds will be provided to Hamkorbank to expand opportunities for financing small business projects.

The total amount of the Uzbek bonds placed on the London Stock Exchange amounted to 476 billion soums in 2018. The previous four Samarkand Bonds issues proceeded to Hamkorbank (with a maturity period of two years, and with a coupon rate of 9.45-9.5 percent) and Ipak Yuli Bank (with a maturity period of one year and with a coupon rate of 9.45 percent).
