Uzbekistan's capital gets its own bank

Poytakht Bank has opened in Uzbekistan’s capital Tashkent, Trend reports citing the Uzbek media.

The bank was founded by the city administration. Its activities focus on issuing loans for construction and purchase of houses in Tashkent. Some 130 employees will provide stable and qualified customer service in Poytakht Bank.

In the future, it is planned to introduce innovative methods of customer service. For instance, one will be able to open an account without coming to the bank, as well as to use remote banking operations.

"For the comfort of citizens, ATMs of the bank will operate 24 hours a day. The new bank will provide leasing and lending services to companies that are engaged in designing infrastructure facilities, as well as repairing and building multi-story buildings," the city administration informed.

The bank was granted a license to conduct banking operations on Dec. 29, 2018.

The authorized capital of the bank totals 100 billion soums. Chairman of the bank's board of directors is Lutfilla Ismatullaev, who also heads the Main Financial Department of the Tashkent administration. Chairman of the bank's management board is Kahramon Aripov.
