Uzbek Agrobank, Hungarian Exim Bank agree to work on joint projects

A delegation of the Uzbek JSCB Agrobank, headed by the chairman of the board Rustam Mamatkulov, visited the capital of Hungary, Budapest, on January 15-16, Trend reports via UzDaily.

Embassy of Uzbekistan in Austria states that the Uzbek delegation discussed issues of cooperation with the Hungarian partners at its meetings.

In a meeting with Deputy Director General of Exim Bank of Hungary Istvan Szabo, the cooperation between the two financial institutions was discussed.

The Hungarian side praised the pace and scale of economic reforms in Uzbekistan initiated by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. It was noted that liberalization of the monetary and financial markets in the country deserves special attention.

Expressing interest in establishing mutually beneficial cooperation with JSCB Agrobank, the head of Exim Bank announced intention to significantly expand cooperation with Uzbek banking and financial institutions, including insurance organizations.

As a result, an agreement was reached to work on joint projects in order to achieve concrete results in the near future.
