Kazakhstan's international reserves slightly down

According to preliminary data of the National Bank of Kazakhstan, the country’s international reserves in February decreased by 0.68 percent compared to January, amounting to $88.22 billion, Trend reports via Kazakh media.

The international reserves decreased by 0.48 percent compared to the beginning of the year.

Gross international reserves of Kazakhstan in February declined by 4.61 percent (5.68 percent since the beginning of the year), to $29.17 billion, including net international reserves decreasing by 4.68 percent (5.78 percent since the beginning of the year), to $28.68 billion.

Meanwhile, the assets of Kazakhstan National Fund amounted to $59.05 billion, a 1.37-percent growth compared to January (2.3 percent since the beginning of the year). The assets in freely convertible currency decreased by 10.1 percent (15.41 percent since the beginning of the year), amounting to $13.99 billion.

At the same time, Kazakhstan’s assets in gold increased by 1.08 percent (5.5 percent since the beginning of the year), to $15.18 billion.
