Kazakhstan publishes CIT rates for Q1 2019

in January-March 2019, the amount of corporate income taxes (CIT) from legal entities in Kazakhstan (excluding revenues from organizations of the oil sector) amounted to 468.5 billion tenge, having increased by 19.1 percent compared to the same period of 2018, Trend reports with reference to finprom.kz.

The data shows that in the same period last year, the amount of the corporate income tax of legal entities (except for the revenues from the oil sector) increased by 7.3 percent reaching 393.3 billion tenge.

The proportion of CIT from tax revenues is 22.7 percent.

Among the regions, Almaty is the leader in terms of the amount of CIT revenues, which amounted to 129.3 billion tenge, with an annual growth of 14.1 percent. In its turn, Nur-Sultan (former Astana) provided the state budget with CIT in the amount of 100.3 billion tenge (an increase of 45.1 percent at once). The taxpayers of West Kazakhstan region is the third top taxpayer; the amount of corporate taxes in the region amounted to 48.9 billion tenge, with an increase of 22.4 percent over the year.

The smallest amount of CIT was recorded in the Zhambyl region; taxpayers of the region supplied the state budget with 1.3 billion tenge, which is 17.7 percent more than in the same period of 2018.
