Uzbek Navoi region overtakes Tashkent in terms of average nominal accrued wages

The ratio and the level of the average nominal accrued wages (ANNW) in the regions of Uzbekistan have changed compared to last year, Trend reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.

In 2018, Tashkent where ANNW was 2.5 million soums was the leader in the ranking, Navoi region was second with 2.3 million soums of ANNW and Tashkent region was the third with 2 million soums.

For three months in 2019, Navoi region where ANNW rose to 2.8 million soums came out on top. Tashkent with the indicator of 2.7 million soums moved to the second position. Tashkent region again closes the top three; the level of ANNW in the region now stands at 2.2 million soums.

The Ferghana, Surkhandarya and Namangan regions where ANNW is 1.6 million soums occupy the last place in list.

As the State Committee on Statistics reminds, the average monthly nominal accrued wage is identical with the real wage. It includes, among other constituents, wage supplements, remuneration, incentive payments and compensation payments. In addition, only data from the employees of legal entities was used during the rating compilation.

In January-March 2019, the average monthly nominal accrued wages of employees of legal entities in Uzbekistan amounted to 2 million soums. The highest ANNW indicator, 3.7 million soums, is observed among employees of the banking, insurance, leasing and credit-intermediary spheres. They are followed by experts in the field of information and communication (3.4 million soums) and industry (2.8 million soums).

The maximum increase in ANNW over the past three months of 2019 was recorded in the field of education (37.3 percent), health care and the provision of social services (36.1 percent), banking, insurance, leasing and credit and intermediary activities (35.1 percent) and construction (28.2 percent).
