Uzbek Commodity Exchange increases volume of transactions by 61%

The total volume of transactions completed in the first quarter of 2019 on all trading platforms of Uzbek Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange (UZEX) amounted to 9,381.7 billion soums, which is 61 percent more than in the first quarter of 2018, Trend reports with reference to UZEX.

The total volume of transactions concluded on the stock exchange with the participation of entrepreneurs amounted to 4,234.7 billion soums, with an increase of 47.3 percent over the same period of 2018.

Goods worth a total of 8,468.2 billion soums were sold at the exchange trades, which is 53.6 percent more than in the first quarter of 2018.

Enterprises-sellers received additional income due to the formation of real market prices at auction in the amount of 494.1 billion soums.

During the reporting period, the total volume of transactions in electronic public procurement reached 578.2 billion soums, and the the total savings amounted to 102.8 billion soums.

At exhibition fairs, deals were made for 299.1 billion soums.

Moreover, 8,427 autonumbers for a total amount of 36.2 billion soums were sold through online auction exchange. The average cost of a single transaction was 4.3 million soums.

Products worth $29.2 million were exported through the currency trading platform and the exhibition and fair trades of the exchange, which is 24.7 percent more than in the first quarter of 2018.

The structure of exchange exports was comprised of such commodity items as cotton fiber (49.7 percent), polyethylene (31.9 percent), petroleum products (14.5 percent), and liquefied gas (3.9 percent).
