Russia - leader by money transfers from and to Kazakhstan

In April 2019 in Kazakhstan some 407,000 of money transactions worth 89.2 billion tenge were performed via international systems, Trend reports via LS news agency.

“Some 235,200 transactions worth 52.1 billion tenge were carried out from Kazakhstan to foreign countries,” the report said.

Russia, Uzbekistan and Turkey are leaders by transactions from Kazakhstan with volume of transactions of 18.8 billion tenge, 9.9 billion tenge and 7.5 billion tenge respectively.

In contrast, the least amount of transactions worth 929.8 million tenge and 557.9 million tenge were sent to Tajikistan and to Georgia respectively.

For the most part transactions were performed in US dollars (65.9 percent) and in Russian rubles (26.8 percent).

“At the same time the volume of transfers to Kazakhstan from abroad amounted to 149,000 transactions worth 32.8 billion tenge. The largest volume of transactions came from Russia (14.3 billion tenge), South Korea (5.5 billion tenge) and Uzbekistan (almost three billion tenge). Some 1.5 billion tenge accounted for the US and 1.1 billion accounted for Germany,” the report said.

The least amount of transfers to Kazakhstan accounted for Tajikistan (492.1 million tenge) and Belarus (almost 350 million tenge).

The major part of transactions were performed in US dollars (58.4 percent and in Russian rubles (27.2 percent).

Furthermore, in April 2019 some 4.3 billion tenge of transactions were performed within Kazakhstan.
