Important discussion on political and economic problems of the banking system was made at an international banking conference in Kuwait, Director General of the Central Bank of Iran Abdulnasser Hemmati wrote on his Instagram page.
Two important issues were highlighted at the conference, he added.
Hemmati added that the first issue covered rapid development of technologies.
The banking system will gradually lose its position if it cannot adapt itself to the technological processes, he said.
The second issue covered the rapid growth of the companies’ debts, he added.
Before the conference, Hemmati had meetings with the directors of the central banks of some countries.
The directors of the central banks of Qatar, UAE, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt and Jordan attended the conference, he added.
