Azerbaijan's State Customs Committee (SCC) transferred 376.759 million manat ($222.081 million) to the state budget in September 2019, which is 19.7 percent more than the same period last year, Trend reports referring to data provided by the SCC.

Revenues to the state budget through the SCC are formed in customs duties, value added tax (VAT), excise tax and road tax.

In September 2019, customs duties amounted to 104.87 million manat ($61.815 million), or 27.8 percent of all revenues, VAT to 251.628 million manat ($148.322 million) (66.8 percent), excise taxes to 16.789 million manat ($9.896 million) (4.4 percent), and road tax to 3.471 million manat ($2.045 million) (0.9 percent).

Compared to September 2018, a 35.4-percent increase was observed in revenues from customs duties, along with an increase of 9 percent for revenues from VAT and 11.9 percent from road tax. Meanwhile, revenues from excise taxes decreased by 7.8 percent.
