Total assets of Azerbaijan’s NBCOs grow 17.4%

As of Sept. 30, 2019, the total assets of Azerbaijan’s non-bank credit organizations (NBCOs) amounted to 314.4 million manat (about $185 million), Trend reports referring to Azerbaijan’s Financial Market Supervisory Authority.

The total liabilities amounted to 188.6 million manat (about $111 million).

From January through September 2019, the assets of NBCOs increased by 17.4 percent. The bulk of the assets accounted for the loan portfolio. During the reporting period, the loan portfolio increased by 11.8 percent (by 27 million manat, or about $16 million) and amounted to 255 million manat (about $150 million).

Since the beginning of the year, NBCO liabilities grew by 5 percent (9.1 million manat, or $5.3 million). Four percent (88.4 million manat, or about $52 million) of liabilities are funds raised from banks and other financial institutions.

During the reporting period, attracted funds decreased by 3.5 percent (3.2 million manat, or about $1.9 million). Since the beginning of the year, funds in borrowed securities increased by 3.8 percent (1.1 million manat, or $647,055).

The funds of the central regulatory authorities for the reporting period decreased by 13.6 percent (4.6 million manat, or $2.7 million).

In September, the balance capital of NBCOs amounted to 125.8 million manat (about $74 million), which is by 42.5 percent (37.5 million manat, or $22 million) more than at the beginning of the year.
