The total bank deposits of the population of Azerbaijani districts as of late September 2019 made up 785.5 million manat (over $462 million), which is 142 million manat ($83.5 million) or 22 percent more compared to late September 2018, Trend reports referring to a report of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
The share of Azerbaijani districts in the total volume of all bank deposits in the country as of late September 2019 was 9.1 percent.
Around 82 percent or 645 million manat ($379.4 million) of all deposits in the country's districts for the reporting period account for savings in the national currency. As of late September, the volume of deposits in Baku amounted to 7.8 billion manat ($4.6 billion), including 3.2 billion manat ($1.9 billion) in national currency.
The average annual interest rate on loans for September 2019 was 3.8 percent in the country's districts and 3.7 percent in Baku.
