Kazakhstan's state budget revenues exceed $20B

Payments to Kazakhstan’s state budget amounted to 8.5 trillion tenge ($22.1 billion) during 11 months of 2019, Kazakhstan’s First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Alikhan Smailov said, Trend reports with reference to the press office of prime minister.

"State budget revenues exceeded by 101.3 percent, to the republican budget to 100.3 percent and the local budget to 104.1 percent. Net revenues of the republican budget amounted to 6.2 trillion tenge ($16.1 billion),” Smailov said.

Compared to the same period of 2018 state budget revenues increased by 115 percent or 1.1 trillion tenge ($2.9 billion), republican by 118 percent or 965 billion tenge ($2.5 billion) and local budgets by 107.7 percent or 165 billion tenge ($429 million).

“The growth rate of payments was mainly provided by the value added tax on goods of domestic production, corporate income tax and taxes on international trade and foreign operations,” Smailov said.

Furthermore, the increase in tax revenues along with the improvement of tax and customs administration was also affected by an increase in the production of goods and services in construction (112.7 percent), trade (107.5 percent), transport (105.6 percent), communications (104.5 percent), industry (103.5 percent).

Local budget revenues exceeded the planned volume in almost all regions except for Nur-Sultan city and Mangystau region.

In turn, state budget expenditures were fulfilled by 98.3 percent, the republican budget by 99.4 percent, and local budgets by 97.4 percent.

State budget expenditures amounted to 12.3 trillion tenge during the reporting period ($32.1 billion). Republican budget expenditures amounted to 10.594 trillion tenge ($27.5 billion). Some 69 billion tenge of the budget were left unused ($179.4 billion), including 19 billion tenge worth of savings ($49.4 million).
