The total volume of deposits in Azerbaijan reached 24.7 billion manat ($14.5 billion) in December 2019, which is 11.6 percent more compared to December 2018, Trend reports on Jan. 30 referring to the Azerbaijani Central Bank (CBA).
The volume of deposits of non-financial organizations increased by 16.9 percent compared to December 2018, amounting to 14.4 billion manat ($8.4 billion).
The total volume of deposits of legal entities in December 2019 increased by 3 percent and reached 8.6 billion manat ($5 billion).
In December 2019, deposits in foreign currency amounted to over 15 billion manat ($8 billion), which is by 5.3 percent more than in December 2018.
Big growth of deposits in the national currency is observed, which increased by 21.5 percent compared to December 2018, having reached 9.6 billion manat ($5.6 billion).
