Total liabilities of Azerbaijan’s Bank Respublika significantly increase

The total liabilities of leading Azerbaijan’s corporate Bank Respublika increased by 44.1 percent or 408.8 million manat ($240.4 million) in 2019 compared to 2018, reaching 1.3 billion manat ($764.7 million), Trend reports referring to the bank's balance sheet on Feb.4.

A significant part of the structure of liabilities (82.4 percent) accounted for deposits, the volume of which increased by 53.7 percent and amounted to 1.1 billion manat ($647 million). At the same time, the bulk of deposits, about 72 percent, accounted for deposits of legal entities worth 793 million manat ($466.4 million). Their annual increase amounted to 65.4 percent. The volume of deposits of individuals amounted to slightly above 306.3 million manat ($180.1 million), an increase of 30 percent.

Liabilities to credit and financial organizations, the Central Bank and state funds amounted to almost 200.7 million manat ($118 million), having increased by 10 percent since the beginning of 2020. The amount of current tax liabilities and subordinated debt amounted to slightly below 20.4 million manat ($12 million). Other liabilities amounted to 14.1 million manat ($8.2 million).

The share capital has not changed since the beginning of 2020 and amounted to 225.8 billion manat ($132.8 billion). The bank’s uncovered loss amounted to 9 million manat ($5.2 million). Total reserves amounted to 13.4 million manat ($7.8 million), an increase of 5.3 percent.

The total capital of the bank amounted to 77.9 million manat ($45.8 million) in 2019 compared to 56.8 million manat ($33.4 million) in 2018.
