The total turnover of Azerbaijan's Baku Stock Exchange (BSE) dropped and amounted to 428.4 million manat ($252 million) in February 2020, which is almost 2.5 times less compared to February 2019, Trend reports referring to the BSE’s data.
In February 2020, the volume of turnover dropped by 35.8 percent and from the beginning of the year - by 2.4 times.
The turnover on the debt instrument market amounted to 234.2 million manat ($137.7 million), showing a decrease of 36 percent. On an annualized basis, the volume of turnover decreased fivefold.
According to BSE, the turnover on the stock market amounted to 6.3 million manat ($3.7 million) in February 2020, while the indicator was 99,500 ($58,529) manat in February 2019.
In February 2020, the turnover on repo transactions increased 3.5 times and amounted to 188 million manat ($110.5 million). On an annualized basis, the turnover on repo transactions increased by more than 7 times.
