Azerbaijan sees import volume growth in March 2020

Azerbaijan exported products worth $2.6 billion from January through March 2020, which is 15.9 percent less than in the same period of 2019, Trend reports referring to Azerbaijani State Customs Committee on April 16.

In March 2020, the volume of import increased by 47.6 percent compared to the previous month, while the annual decline rate dropped by 2 percent.

The share of public sector in export amounted to $534.2 million, which is about 20.3 percent of the total volume, private sector - $1.8 million or 69.3 percent of the total volume, and the remaining $276 million or 10.5 percent accounted for individuals.

In total, Azerbaijan exported 1,785 types and imported 6,274 types of goods, conducting trade operations with 153 countries.

From January through March 2020, Azerbaijan mainly imported machinery, mechanisms, electric tools, equipment and its parts, land vehicles, except railway and tram vehicles, as well as their parts and accessories, ferrous metal and products from it.
