Amount of loans to various economic sectors in Iran increases

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 28

The amount of loans issued to various economic sectors in Iran during the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 through March 20, 2020), increased by 26 percent compared to the same period of preceding year (from March 21, 2018 to March 21, 2019), Trend reports referring to the report of Central Bank of Iran.

Iranian banks and financial institutions issued loans worth a total of $232 billion to various sectors in the last Iranian year.

The loans worth $17.7 billion were issued for the agricultural sector, and the loans worth $75.5 billion were issued for industrial and mining sectors, the report said.

According to the Central Bank, the loans worth $16.3 billion were issued for the housing and construction sector, and the loans worth $44 billion were issued for the trade sector.

The loans issued to the services sector amounted to $78.2 billion, said the report.
