BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 13

By Nargiz Sadikhova - Trend:

Unified payment document may be developed in Kazakhstan for paying taxes, Kazakhstan’s Vice Minister of National Economy Madi Takiev said, Trend reports with reference to the ministry.

Takiev said that the document may be introduced in 2021.

“The overall approach and principles have been developed jointly with Kazakhstan’s business community, including the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurship,” Takiev said.

He added that the initiative was supported by local business sector.

“To set up an information system, you need a certain amount of time. Next year, the developed principles will be supported by law and the work will be done in order to make it a reality,” Takiev said.

Earlier this month, Kazakhstan’s President Kassym Jomart Tokayev said that Kazakhstan may introduce Personal Income Tax (PIT) progressive scale adding that the issue should be approached in terms of justice.

He noted that the progressive scale means that people whose earnings are not high, should pay less taxes, and people who earn much above the average, and are considered rich, should pay more.
