Share of revenues from non-oil sector to Azerbaijani state budget grows

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 19

The state budget revenues in 2019 amounted to 24.2 billion manat ($14.2 billion) compared to the forecasted figure of 23.2 billion manat ($13.6 billion), Trend reports referring to the report on the execution of the state budget of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Finance for 2019.

An increase in the revenues amounted to 1.05 billion manat ($617 million) or 4.5 percent compared to the forecast. An increase in the revenues amounted to 1.7 billion manat ($1 billion) or 7.6 percent compared to the indicator for 2018.

The revenues to the state budget through the non-oil sector of the economy in 2019 amounted to 10.6 billion manat ($6.2 billion), or 44 percent of all revenues to the state budget, which is 1.5 billion manat ($882 million) or 16.5 percent more than in 2018.

Some 5.4 billion manat ($3.2 billion) or 70.8 percent of all tax deductions through the State Tax Service of the Ministry of Economy accounted for the non-oil sector in 2019. The growth reached 458 million manat ($269 million) or 9.2 percent compared to 2018.

The volume of revenues to the state budget through the State Customs Committee for 2019 amounted to 3.7 billion manat ($2.2 billion), of which 37.8 percent or 1.4 billion manat ($823 million) accounted for the non-oil sector.

The Azerbaijani state budget revenues amounted to 24.2 billion manat ($14.2 billion) in 2019, exceeding the projected amount by 1.05 billion manat that’s $617 million (4.5 percent).
