In April 2020, the official exchange rate of Georgia's lari against the USD strengthened from 3.2845 to 3.2032 (by 2.5 percent), and against the euro - from 3.6363 to 3.4748 (by 4.4 percent), Trend reports citing the report of National Bank of Georgia (NBG).
According to NBG, in April 2020, the maximum value of the lari exchange rate against the USD was 3.2816, and the minimum was 3.1234.
As reported, in the international currency markets the USD appreciated by 2 percent against the euro, 6.7 percent against the Turkish lira, 8.1 percent against the Russian ruble and 0.3 percent against the Azerbaijani manat, the bank said.
In April, the real effective exchange rate of the lari depreciated by 1.1 percent compared to March, and the nominal effective exchange rate - by 1.7 percent.
In annual terms, the real effective exchange rate of the lari depreciated by 5.7 percent, and the nominal effective exchange rate - by 8.7 percent.
The annual inflation rate in Georgia was 6.9 percent in April 2010, the report said.
