The Consumer Price Index (CPI) for non-food products in Azerbaijan increased by 0.1 percent in May 2020 compared to April 2020, and by 1.4 percent compared to April 2019, Trend reports citing the Azerbaijani State Statistical Committee.

In May 2020, the rise in prices of certain non-food products led to an increase in prices for cotton fabrics, paints, wallpapers, kitchen sets, air conditioners, fans, electronic blood pressure monitors, tires and shock absorbers for cars.
The prices for cut boards, cement, electric kettles, and mobile phones declined. There were no major changes in prices for other non-food items.
In May 2020, the CPI for paid services for the population did not change compared to April 2020, and grew by 0.4 percent compared to April 2019.
