The largest share (44.5 percent) of loans in Azerbaijan accounted for the household sector as of May 1, 2020, Trend reports citing the statistical bulletin of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
The volume of loans in the country’s household sector increased by 16 percent or 916.8 million manat ($539.2 million) over the year, having reached 6.5 billion manat ($3.8 billion).
The volume of loans in the field of trade and services at the end of May 2020 increased by 5.5 percent or 126.6 million manat ($74.4 million) compared to the end of May 2019, amounting to 2.4 billion manat ($1.4 billion). The share of the total volume of credit investments in this sector amounted to 16.3 percent.
The volume of loans in the field of transport and communications amounted to 961 million manat ($565.2 million) or 6.5 percent of total loans in the real sector. Over the year, this figure decreased by 26.1 percent or by 339.3 million manat ($199.5 million).
Lending in the industrial and production sector increased 1.5 times year-on-year.
