As many as 726 industrial enterprises were licensed to be established in Yazd Province (central Iran) in the first three months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through June 20, 2020), said Chairman of the Industry, Mines and Trade Organization of the province Mohammad Reza Alamdar Yazdi, Trend reports citing the organization’s website.
Alamdar Yazdi noted that it is planned to invest 567 billion rials (about $13.5 million) in the establishment of these enterprises and 12,800 people will be employed with the commissioning of these enterprises.
The chairman added that the licenses that were issued during the first three months of the current Iranian year increased by 26 percent in terms of number, 105 percent in terms of investment and 20 percent in terms of employment compared to the same period last Iranian year.
“In addition, the licenses worth of 8.47 billion rials [about $201,000] were issued for the discovery of four mines,” he said.
The chairman emphasized that during this period, the licenses were issued for the exploitation of eight mines that have 538,000 tons of mining reserves. About 74,000 tons will be extracted from these mines annually.
According to him, 21.3 billion rials (about $508,000) were spent on the commissioning of these mines and 32 people were employed.
