Azerbaijani state budget expenditures up

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 23

The expenditures of the Azerbaijani state budget reached 11.7 billion manat ($6.9 billion) from January through June 2020, Trend reports referring to the Azerbaijani Ministry of Finance.

The state budget expenditures in 2020 increased by 779.8 million manat ($458.7 million) from January through June 2020 or 7.1 percent more compared to the same period of 2019.

Some 42.5 percent of the state budget expenditure or 4.9 billion manat ($2.9 billion) were allocated to finance the socially oriented spheres from January through June 2020, which exceeds the indicators in the same period of last year by 26.1 percent.

In the structure of expenditures, 8.3 billion manat ($4.9 billion) were allocated for the current expenses (share of the total amount - 70.7 percent), 2.5 billion manat that’s $1.5 billion (share - 21.8 percent) - for capital expenditures, 880.7 million manat that’s $518.05 million (share - 7.5 percent) - for expenses related to the public debt and liabilities.

The state budget expenditures amounted to 6.5 billion manat ($3.8 billion) from April through June 2020, compared to 10.9 billion manat ($6.4 billion) in the same period of 2019.

In the structure of expenditures, 5.6 billion manat ($3.3 billion) accounted for current expenditure (the share of the total amount - 51.3 percent), 3.9 billion manat ($2.3 billion) - for capital expenditure (share - 36 percent), 1.4 billion manat ($823 million) - for expenses, associated with servicing public debt and liabilities (share - 12.7 percent).
