Volume of foreign currency transactions at Turkmen State Commodity Exchange revealed

Transactions in foreign currency worth more than $142.3 million were registered on the State Commodity Exchange and Raw Materials of Turkmenistan in July 2020, Trend reports with reference to the exchange’s data.

During the first week of July, transactions in foreign currency in the amount of $51.6 million were registered on the exchange.

In the first week of July, base oils, low-sulfur heating oil, cotton yarn and dry licorice root extract were mainly sold in foreign currency.

During the second week of July, transactions in foreign currency in the amount $37.3 million were registered on the exchange. Automobile gasoline, liquefied gas and petroleum road bitumen, smooth-dyed and jacquard terry products, denim and cotton yarn were sold the most in foreign currency.

During the third week of July, transactions in foreign currency in the amount $1.6 million were registered on the exchange, where polypropylene, jacquard terry products, as well as cotton yarn were mostly sold in foreign currency.

Products worth more than $11.5 million were sold on the exchange during the fourth week of July. Polypropylene, high-density polyethylene, ECO-93 gasoline, dyed terry products and cotton yarn were sold the most in foreign currency.

In addition, from July 27 through July 31, 2020, transactions in foreign currency in the amount of $40.1 million were registered on the exchange, and the most sold products were diesel fuel, petroleum coke, polypropylene, high-density polyethylene, and cotton yarn.

Transactions in foreign currency worth more than $73,369 were registered on the State Commodity Exchange and Raw Materials of Turkmenistan in June 2020.
