Transactions in the total amount of more than $192 million were registered on the State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange of Turkmenistan in July, Trend reports with reference to exchange’s data.
Transactions in both the Turkmen manat and foreign currency were registered on the exchange of Turkmenistan during the reporting month.
In particular, transactions in the amount of $142.3 million were made in foreign currency, and in the amount of 177.4 million ($50.5 million) - in Turkmen manat.
During the exchange, products were sold both to Turkmen and foreign entrepreneurs.
Transactions of the total amount of more than $57.8 million were registered on the State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange of Turkmenistan in June.
During the reporting period, the country has registered transactions both in foreign currency and in Turkmen manat. In particular, transactions worth more than $73,369 were made in foreign currency and more than 202.3 million for Turkmen manat ($57.7 million).
The state commodity exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. It is the most important agency of state regulation of export-import operations.
