The total income of the Azerbaijani agricultural enterprises amounted to 868.8 million manat ($511.05 million) from 2013 through 2019, Trend reports referring to the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee.
In general, the amount of profit increased by 2.1 times over these years.
This figure increased by 26.09 million manat ($15.3 million) or 15.9 percent in 2019, reaching 180.08 million manat ($105.9 million).
The number of agricultural enterprises operating in the country decreased by 12 percent during seven years and amounted to 1,471 by late 2019. Thus, the activity of 170 enterprises was suspended during the year.
Some 93.5 percent of enterprises or 1,376 worked with profit while 95 percent at a loss in 2019.
The amount of profit of enterprises increased by 3.5 percent and amounted to 120.6 million manat ($70.9 million) while the loss also increased by 42.6 percent and amounted to 27.9 million manat ($16.4 million) compared to 2018.
The total profit of agricultural enterprises amounted to 92.7 million manat that’s $54.5 million (4.4 percent).
