The total bank deposits of the population of Azerbaijani districts as of late July 2020 made up 7.8 billion manats ($4.6 billion), which is 805.8 million manats ($474 million) or 9.4 percent less compared to late July 2019, Trend reports referring to a report of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
The share of Azerbaijani districts in the total volume of all bank deposits in the country as of late July 2020 was 10 percent.
Around 47.4 percent or 3.7 billion manats ($2.2 billion) of all deposits in the country's districts for the reporting period account for the national currency.
The share of deposits in national currency exceeds 83.8 percent excluding Baku.
The total volume of deposits in Baku amounted to 7 billion manats ($4.1 billion), including 3 billion manats ($1.8 billion) in the national currency (42.8 percent).
The average annual interest rate on loans in July 2020 was 3.07 percent in the country's districts and 2.97 percent in Baku.
