The Azerbaijani Azexport portal received export orders worth $374.5 million from January through July 2020, which is 8 percent more compared to the same period of 2019, Trend reports citing the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC).
The value of export orders received in July 2020 amounted to $55 million, which is 26.4 percent more compared to July 2019, said the CAERC.
In July of this year, the main export orders of the portal are considered to be cotton fiber and oil, tomatoes, tobacco, apples, chicken eggs, milk powder, confectionery, wine, building materials, motor oil, cosmetics, garlic and pomegranate juice.
Over 43 months of its activity (from January 2017 through July 31, 2020), the Azexport portal executed the export orders for the supply on non-oil products from Azerbaijan in the amount of over $1.9 billion to 141 countries of the world.
The Azexport portal (www.azexport.az) was created by an order of the head of state on creating a single database of goods produced in Azerbaijan dated September 21, 2016.
The main goods exported during the current period are tobacco, chicken and eggs, hazelnuts, cottonseed oil, wine, pomegranate, onions, cosmetics, medical gauze, furniture, paint, confectionery, milk with fruit additives, mineral water and garlic.
The goal of the portal, which is managed by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, is to provide information on Azerbaijani-made products. It’s an effective resource for their selling in foreign and domestic markets.
