Nominal income of Azerbaijan’s population rises

The nominal income of Azerbaijan’s population amounted to 36.8 billion manat ($21.6 billion) from January through August 2020, which is 0.1 percent more compared to the same period of 2019, according to preliminary data, Trend reports citing the State Statistical Committee.

In the mentioned period, the nominal income per capita amounted to 3,693.3 manat ($2,172.5).

According to the committee, prices in the country's consumer market during the reporting period surpassed the growth of household income by 2.8 percent. After the implementation of all compulsory and voluntary payments, 33.2 billion manat ($19.5 billion) remained at the disposal of the population, which is 1.4 percent less compared to the same period of the previous year.

At the same time, 3,328.2 manat ($1,957.7) accounted for each person, which is 2.2 percent less compared to the same period of 2019.

Since early 2020, the population of Azerbaijan has increased by 33,514 people or by 0.3 percent, making up 10,100,622 people as of August 1, 2020.
