Iran reveals amount of loans issued to manufacturing enterprises

BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 19

The loans worth 27.7 trillion rials (about $659 million) were issued to the manufacturing enterprises in Iran as part of a project to increase production during the first five months of the current Iranian year (March 20-August 21, 2020), Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran Saeed Zarandi said, Trend reports citing the ministry.

The deputy minister noted that these loans were issued to 1,250 manufacturing enterprises within 5 months.

“In addition, the loans worth 27.4 trillion rials (about $652 million) were issued to 463 enterprises under the employment and production program in Iran,” he added.

Zarandi emphasized that at the same time, 2,370 enterprises were licensed to launch in Iran with an investment of 326 trillion rials (about $7.76 billion) over five months.

The deputy minister said that it is intended to employ directly 42,000 people within these licenses.
