The value of the gross domestic product (GDP) of Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic amounted to 1.84 billion manat ($1.08 billion) in the first eight months of 2020, Trend reports citing Nakhchivan’s State Statistical Committee.
The committee said that Nakhchivan’s GDP for the reporting period is 0.7 percent more compared to the same period of 2019.
At the same time, GDP per capita made up 4,000 manat ($2,353), having increased by 1.4 percent over the year.
“Bulk of Nakhchivan’s GDP accounted for industrial production. The industrial products worth 758.4 million manat ($446.1 million) were produced in Nakhchivan over the reporting period, which is 1 percent more compared to the same period of 2019,” said the committee.
From January through August 2020, over 661.4 million manat ($389 million) was invested in fixed assets from all financial sources of Nakhchivan, which is 1.1 percent more compared to the same period of 2019.
