Commercial banks of Georgia have finished the month of August with a 96.36 million lari ($29.6 million) worth of net profits, up by 32.870 million lari ($10.1 million) compared to July 2020 (63.49 million lari or $19.5 million), Trend reports via the National Bank of Georgia (NBG).
Also, according to statistics published by the NBG, in August 2020, commercial banks have collected 3.84 million lari ($1.1 million) from fines.
At the same time, the income of commercial banks form commission fees and services reached 30.976 million lari ($9.5 million) in July 2020. Incomes of commercial banks in August 2020 marked 399.99 million lari ($122.9 million), including proceeds from interest rates, amounted to 330.84 million lari ($101.6 million).
At the same time, the total expenditures of commercial banks in August 2020 made up 293.34 million lari ($90.1 million). In 2019, the net profits of commercial banks stood at 953.63 million lari ($29.3 million).
