The amount of loans issued by the Azerbaijani banks to clients amounted to 14.3 billion manat ($8.41 billion) as of September 1, 2020, Trend reports citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
In July 2020, the Azerbaijani banks issued loans worth 14.2 billion manat ($8.35 billion) to customers, which is 0.7 percent more compared to June 2020. At the same time, lending by the banks dropped by 4 percent compared to the beginning of 2020, while in 2019 – increased by 5.8 percent.
Since early 2020, a total of 30 banks have operated in Azerbaijan, 4 of which were deprived of their licenses this year.
